Answer Me

Contributed by The_Phantom on Tuesday, 4th April 2006 @ 05:58:56 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

So much pain simmers in my heart, a look to the heavens, watch a falling star,
The soul may cry, tears of desire fall from my eyes,
My skin may bleed, another razor opening the flesh so the soul can leave,
I'm lost within a maze, blinded by my own rage,
Cold beats the heart, again I fall apart,

Has the end come to be, is the mind playing tricks on me,
Can you hear it laugh, it's love making fun of my mask,
I hide in a corner, I'm called a freak, a sicko, a stoner,
No drug on Earth can heal this hurt,

This pain is so intense, I want to end it all, but that makes no sense,
Why must I lie here alone, listening to misery sing its hideous tones,
All I ask is that you give me a chance, allow me one dance,
Let me show you who I really am, I feel hurt too, I'm only a man,

I'm here today, but forgotten by tomorrow, lying on a beach drowning in sorrow,
Unseen by you, invisible to everyone but a few,
I roam these halls, hear my mournful calls,
A dead man walking, a broken soul talking,

What more can be said, am I dead,
I see the sky it's gray, sunlight is fading, my will is withering away,
A simple hello may brighten my day, but the pain will forever stay,
I write in hopes you may read, can you hear me, ANSWER ME!

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
