Why?

Contributed by whiteleo1984 on Tuesday, 4th April 2006 @ 04:45:51 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

How can You love me so?
Why did You die for me?
I'm just a wretched soul
tormented daily by my sins
Why do You love me?
I hated You
I depised Your name
yet, You still love me.
Why do You love me?
I've spent my life cursing Your name
depising Your glory and hating Your grace
Why do You love me?
How can You love me?
What things have I done to deserve this grace?
You came down from Your holy place,
You came from paradise,
to this cursed world
Why?
You should've crushed us all with Your power
threw us to the flames that we deserve
and allow us to suffer our pains.
Yet, You came and died
Why?
I may never understand Your infinite wisdom
or be able to show You the love that You require
but I can do this
I will, beginning now, live my life for You...
For You died for me
and I will live and die for You
With every last breath in this body
Oh, God, I will live for You...

I was shocked but don't know why, Cause I know GOD. I have been up reading a book on Hell. A man went there for 23 min. So what if the book is wrong.. What if isn't. I believe in my heart and soul it is true. So here I read a few chapters and had to get on here and write a poem. I submitted it and then all of a sudden it went after yours. wow you know.. God loves us much more then we will ever know. How can He after what we do. But He created us because He loved us. And then He died for me and you.. His mercy renews each morning.

beautiful very beautiful! wonderfully moving. and the point is....there is no "why" only what is, and that is his love for us.
