A TEAR

Contributed by Adelle on Monday, 3rd April 2006 @ 05:43:45 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

A tear-
So perfect so real
A tear-
So perfectly clear-
A tear-
Of water-
Trapped in a bubble

I cried- he cried
I wept he wept
Tears one by one
Dropped all the way down
Heavy like led, they splat on the ground
Loosing their perfect shape, so round-

A tear-
So perfect so real
A tear-
So perfectly clear
A tear-
Of water-
No longer in a bubble

It rained-
It poured-
I prayed
To the lord-
Drops larger than mine
Fall down from the sky-
The heavens were sending down their cry
The rain drops so perfectly clear
So beautiful- so sincere
Landing in my puddle of tear drops
Thunder crashing
Lightening lashing
Clouds thickening
The rain intensifying
The rain then turning to blood
Pouring falling
The storm encircling-
Round about me
The thunder crashing
Loudly and boldly
But it is different
Voices are crying with it
Like a perfect violin sound
Hearing the earth shake,
Was like hearing a violin shake
Like a vibrato so beautiful
Music was lashing out
Lightening coming about
A light brighter than bright
Too bright for my eyes
Shielding them I hear his cries
Louder and louder
The rain drops larger and larger

A tear-
So perfectly un-clear
Dark red
In symbolism of his blood
A tear so perfectly weighted
So perfectly shaped
Washing my own cries away

I wanted him to take my pain
I pleaded that he would take it away
Instead he cried with me this way
Dropping tears from the sky
In red reminding me, for me he did die

It is the perfect time to read a poem about a man who died for you and me, for all the sins we committed; it is the season of the misery of our lord Jesus Christ (i.e. Lent season) and your poem appears right when one tries to brush up his/her faith. Well done.
