Footsteps ring through my crowded mind,
I’m left,
Still trying to find,
The reason why I’m here,
Why I’m filled with fear,
The futures close but the past is clear,
It’s all about now, about what I need,
Away from it now, I need to be freed,
Run away from home, come back again,
Find that I’ve lost my friend,
Love is broken, love is lost,
My heart turned hard to soft,
Black and blue, purple and grey,
I look to the mirror with nothing to say,
Don’t know who’s looked back,
Don’t know these corrupted white eyes,
Don’t know all the answers,
Don’t know all the lies
My mother gone, my fathers dead,
Questions still run through my messed up head,
Is it my fault,
My parents failed,
Or did their ship just set sail,
All alone now, no body to care,
No body to notice I’m not even there,
But when I return home just to see,
There’s no body waiting for me.
