Oh Carpenter,
will thou mend me?
Mend my broken heart
and my broken soul.
Oh, Carpenter,
will thou mend this
lamp to guide my way
to the path I seeketh?
Extend your hand,
with which you mend,
unto the Light House Keeper.
Give him the lamp you mended
so that the path may be
enlightened--
the path of which I seek.
Oh, Carpenter,
mend my sorrows and
mend all my tomorrows
so that when I reach them
there is no fear.
Oh, Light House Keeper,
rekindle the flame in
the mended lamp.
Light my path
and enlighten my mended soul.
