These Doors

Contributed by worldsenigma on Sunday, 2nd April 2006 @ 12:54:06 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

I have no clue what is going on
at first we were friends
and nothing more
but as the time flew by
like birds in the sky
traveling on the wind
so up high
somewhere along that ride
you opened a door
and when that door was opened
your feelings came flying out
and i
took a step in
and it was then that i realized
i
had a responsibility
like the oldest bird
who now owns the skys
because his mother was shot down
yes I
had a new identity
to be the one who
catches your tears as you cried
the one who
makes you smile
time after time
yet somehow you feel
that you still have feelings inside
you laugh and you smile
yet
your still in denial
like a bird refusing to fly
you've opened you door
i've entered your world
what feelings remain inside?
has nothing changed
do i still remain
as a lost bird
who's mother is dead
am i simply confused
from being abused
by this fantasy inside of my head?
as i struggle to get past
these questions i ask
i look ahead
hoping for more
and there lies my answer
standing so tall
another padlocked door.

Your poem certainly is flying high like those birds in the sky. Good work keep it up.
