My soul only slightly tarnished

From the depths of my mind, torment and darkness,
I have to leave this evil place or be superbly corrupted,
The power of this place keeps me awake or startles me awake all through the night,
Tasting the sublime sweetness of it all makes the putrescence seem so easy,
With one last bastion of wholesomeness I am able to escape,
My soul only slightly tarnished
