A Wicked Game

Life, it plays on.
Like a wicked game,
Only known by few,
And played in secret.
Evil murmurs.
Hush, don't tell.
Hope, the juvenile idyll,
Still blossoming expectantly,
In the hearts of millions,
Who haven't learnt there are no rules to the game.
Nervous mumurs,
Hush, don't tell.
Living is always hopeful,
But life is not always living,
And hope is never in life.
So in forfeting my place, I will win this game.
Anguished murmurs,
Hush, don't tell.

Psst. Want to share a secret? - life sucks, and its brilliant, and painful, and glorious and dirty. Don't book out too early. Nice write. The repeating line was a nice touch, making your anguish elegant.
