The people in my life are eggs.
Hard on the outside
but soft on the inside.
The people in my life are like trees.
Strong and sheltering
yet defensless.
The people in my life are like lionesses.
Strong and fierce
and would fight and die to protect those they love.
The people in my life are like books.
You cant judge them
by their looks.
The people in my life are like puppies.
Faithful to me
despite my short-comings.
The people in my life are like the air.
I need you to survive.
Without you I'd die.
Thankyou to the people in my life.

I thought this was cute (not a word I'm fond of using but in this case necessary :), as for constructive criticism? Well, hm, I've been reading through it and to be honest I don't really know what to tell you... I mean this was simple, yet effective... I think you did a nice job :) |

I loved this Roxanne. The theme, the gist of it, our dependance on people. "Nobody is an Island"
The poem is relatively short, and nowadays poets use free verse, and different construction of verses, and meters, so it seems to me if you avail yourself of one of the many, it makes not much difference.
I enjoyed it much.
Elizabeth
