waiting

Topic: anguished

There's that guy I dream of dearly.
That guy is like the drug that keeps me going.
His smile and humor kill me with laughter.
I never knew I would feel this way.
As the mornings and nights grew so did the feelings.
Now as I sit here, I wait for him to call me up.
The mystery remains will I hear his voice for one last dose!

Wow, amazing analogy. I can somewhat relate, cause I'm a guy and I don't wait by a phone for hours waiting for someone to call me. But comparing love to a drug, and the "one last dose" part was a once in a poem thing. Great job.

it is so great to see young people with such talent for writing. my daughter who is 15 has had a couple of poems on here and the ones written "just coming to you" are usually the best. Thank for sharing your lovely poem and if it is any consolation to such a young heart I am nearly 50 and I can remember waiting for that one last dose....MMMM memories love jenny aka jonquilcottagexx

I feel the same way! Like that one I love is my drug that keeps me alive a few more moments, and make me smile a little more. I loved it!!! ^_^
