My Guardian Angel

Contributed by 2manytears on Saturday, 1st April 2006 @ 12:54:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Your took me, away from my fears.
The light now shown through the darkness no longer
keeping my heart from you.
I was alone, awake, and afraid.
You found me when no one else was looking.
You found the missing pieces to my heart....
a life a home love.
The thought of having someone by my side,
to be there for me always.
I forgot my pain and sorrow from the broken home I came from.
Forgot the streets and the cold.
I was a lost soul but you saved me.
I was a lonely girl lost in the darkness, my own darkness I had created.
Your smile and laugh made me feel warmth.
It is a feeling I have never felt before.
The pain and the emptiness was worth it.
Worth the days spent out in the cold because I have you,
my guardian angel.

The ending was conclusive. Usually when I write poems like this it goes on for pages and pages. And what an ending too. It's amazing.
