What’s there to hold on too?
I’ve held on so long
I’ve had a hard life
I’m going to die
Anyways
Today, was hard
I needed a shoulder
Something to reach to
But
There was no one to reach out to
God closed his eyes to see if I could
Still stand tall
But, What’s there to hold on too?
I’ve held on so long
I’ve had a hard life
I’m going to die
Anyways
I only made it this far so
My friends could make it through
But now my friends don’t seem to realize
I’m just as bad as they are
And I need help
What’s there to hold on too?
I’ve held on so long
I’ve had a hard life
I’m going to die
Anyways
How can I make it one more night?
As I realize I losing my right
I not gonna make it
Unless someone helps me out
I’m gonna lose my fight
I’m gonna be as weak as they say
I’m just too tired
And no one really cares
They all think I’m joking
No she wouldn’t do that
She’s just bored
Well maybe I should die so when they cry
I can be up there laughing
Cause, What’s there to hold on too?
I’ve held on so long
I’ve had a hard life
I’m going to die
Anyways
There’s nothing to stay for
And no one would notice
One small life, gone
Crying as the blood falls from her wrist
Oh, God, stop me
Cause I can’t even finish this song
I’m already mostly gone
Send angel to either stop
Or speed it up
Cause I’m hurt tonight
And there’s nothing to hold on too
I’m gonna die anyway
Gone die anyway

Wow! You were really sad! It came through in the poem. It's almost scary. Before you submit, read over the poem real close cause readers stumble over misspellings and typos. Even stumblin', I slipped into desperation just as you seem to be in the poem. Good work. |
