Eerie shadows cast upon thy soul
Choking out all life that grows
With deaths hands rapped around my body with embrace
His vale of suffering is all that i have came to know
His whispers echo with the lies of emortality
a trade for a trade, soul for a lie
his promises if i take, it is me that will surely die
Its a step of faith, i can trust it, or am I doomed to parish with all the lost gambles he has sold
but my life i have lost and regained it or so im told
just this one time he says you can always change your mind
So i take the plunge I mean what the hell no one will miss me for i have no love
It was a trick just as my heart had said
Now i pay my price for my soul is already dead
I see films of my family the ones that did love even though they never gave word
why this, why that, what happened, he would never do such a thing
i slumped my head so ashamed that my life was only worth a game
A game of lies that i surely wont be the last to play
A taste of emortaltiy I never thought would be so sour
Now im cast away to live forever what all lost souls call there last hour

I think it's "imortality" but I'm not sure..the poem as a whole was brooding and dark.. I don't usually go for that, it's just not my personal taste, ya know? but for a dark poem this was very good. |
