For the first time in my life I feel a part of something,
I don’t know how or where it happened but it feels so right.
From the darkest shadows of the night came a shining light,
I opened my eyes to the world and I heard the bells ring.
You walked into my life and you opened me up so wide,
It’s the only time I felt that I had nothing to hide.
This superficiality was shattered beyond doubt,
I saw that from this prison there was a final way out.
Through all the years I’ve been on this Earth coursing my way home,
Only thought was that my sort was eternally to roam,
I’d never set my roots two times into the same old soil.
And now this feeling that I get is chilling to the bone,
The last six months have gone so slow the next six will have flown,
The friendship that I never had gets left on foreign soil.
