Lifes stumbles'
I made a promise and a heartfelt vow
I will keep them, I just wonder how
Sometimes life can pull me down
Push and tug and spin me all around
I seem to be at the end of my rope
I slowly start to lose all my hope
Hitting the bottom seems as far as I go
Hopping, praying the sinking starts to slow
With eyes filled with hopeless despair
Looking to the heavens to see if God is there
Reaching out with shaking arms and hands
In a voice that is weakened by mortal demands
I ask, I pray, Lord I’m down on my knees
I've taken a beating, I’ve hit the bottom it seems
I can not go any further, I can not take any more
Please hear me Lord, I’m knocking at your door
I place my burdens in your loving caring hands
I rebuke all my mortal worries and demands
I seek your ever loving warm bright light
To shine on my life both day and night
For I believe when I stumble and fall
You will catch me and see me through it all
The promise I made is to never let go
My heartfelt vow is to love you Lord so
