Never forget that you are mine,
A parents love that no longer shines,
Eventhough im no longer there.
Im here for you and will allways care.
It was hard at first, my heart would burst.
To take you back, was the worst.
Could not releive the pain that i`d wallow,
A granite stone i could never swallow.
The nights i`d kick and turn and sweat.
To be able to place a hand on your sweet head.
Seven years on and things are different,
A long time coming but worth the distance.
A love still strong, a bond of steel.
no longer gripping at the wheel.
A hundred memories and lots of fun.
Never worry .
I love you Son.

I have read through my work on this poem and realised that people may think that i left my son.
As it reads that way,
Its the opposite we seperated and its how i felt living without him near me everyday.
and the pain in having to take him home to his mum when hed plead with me not too.
Tuff times but we have made it through. |
