Foolish angels playing in sunset shadows,
Oblivious to the evil that lurks overhead.
Such an elegant naivety in a graceful stupidity.
Preoccupied with each other's effortless beauty,
Darkness consumes their surroundings and minds.
Lust, infatuation, and impure thoughts rule all.
Angels lay entwined and fallen from grace and valour.
For it is with the dark veil of night,
With which hidden pleasures do creep.

Lust is all-consuming and can change a person's thoughts and beliefs entirely. It really is a devilish delight. I enjoyed this poem. |
