It's been a bad day (the aimless wanderer looking for a reason)

let me hold my best friend
I haven't seen him in awhile
He's been sleeping in the drawer just above the cabinet.
But lately he's been calling my name
and he wants to take a ride with me
who shall I introduce him to?
I could think of a few.
We've crossed paths on more than one occasion
and he always asks me this one question
"What will we do tonight"
I think on it, decide and reply
"Whatever we feel like"
We hop in the car and turn the ignition
back out of the driveway slowly
so as not to cause attention
and off we go into the night
humming songs from two decades ago.

i love it...i love the uncertainty and the ambituity and the picture you paint with your words is kind of like a mini movie...very intriguing. |
