With bright colors
and
batting eyelashes,
he lures
weak-hearted pray.
With sweet talk
and sharp claws,
he tares down defense walls,
and digs holes through
the thickest egos.
A sick sixth sense
smells vulnerability,
and he lunges
at the necks of
the overly trusting.
Alliterations
and metaphors bleed
from deep gashes,
but it's no consolation.

I love those lines. I can relate. Thanks for wording my thoughts so eloquently. |
