To the doll with love.

Veteran soldier of the mountain land
claimed a thousand heads, to boost his rank,
as he was young and lusty;
sneakily fought and massacred for glittering bounty.
Ticking time stopped for none, the fighting solider
grew weak and meek, yet swollen with pride
sang the song of a thousand heads juggled
by his bloody hands.
On a summer day came a box of gift, bloomed a wrinkly
smile on the face, delighted to see
a pretty pink doll, held it to his hairy chest and kissed its face,
in time he found a love to fill his flickering last pause.
Days rolled by - yet again a box of gift dropped to amaze.
“A gift!” The old bones dance with bliss; lo, he was
startled to view a bottle of sprit, and a note to read.
“Burn thy little doll, o’ brave claimer of thousand heads.”
The gallant soldier turned trembling pale
glanced at those glittering medals for the kill
he made in the gruesome battle long ago;
rickety hands held the doll closed to his drumming heart.
Wept like a child and wetted the doll with
painful tears, “ho God, it was easy to butcher and
slaughter a thousand heads, none known to me,
this doll - is my love; she is known but only to me.”
“Little did I hesitate to slay them all, strangers were they to me;
soul less doll though she is yet dearly known to me.”
Sat on his rocking chair groan and mourned till eternity
- for the thousand heads, beloved for some.
There is no glittering glory greater then love, know them all
to erase all hate - to enter the heavenly gate.

Moral courage is usually the most valuable and often the most absent characteristic in men. More often than not, however, men measure their titled manhood by physical courage. When will we ever recall the God's principle of compassion, profoundly spoken by Christ; whatever is done unto the least is also done unto the greatest (Matthew 25:40).
This is spectacular in theme and moral brilliance. Often proteic justice prevails when there's no longing for Wisdom's jewels, and delayed repentance. Thanks for sharing Franco, this was a great read.
