When most think of freedom they go no further than a piece of material, or cloth so to speak painted red, white and blue. Yes this is true the flag does represent this but it goes much deeper than a material aspect. The colors to me represent a much greater sacrifice many had to endor. Red is for the blood of millions that gave that ultimate sacrifice so that we could have the right to take things for granite. Blue is the color I know all too well, it is for all the bruised hearts that are left with the memory of all who gave their lives. Finally, we have the white, which represents God that gave us this naturally right from birth. Not for any man to say to whom is not free or under opression. He gave us this right so that we may live a long meaningful life. So that we have the right to believe in him through our religions. But for those who stood up to the opression and said they would carry the burden so that many would not have too, we owe greatly, a debt that can only be repaid by living life like today may be your last and take nothing for granite. Our life on this earth is too short not to try and live life to repay our debt. So in this, life is the only thing that when its gone we can not have back. Freedom, thats what it means to me.
