He said, she said, he lied she lied
this rumor that has spread
has now rendered my broken heart dead,
i don't know what to believe how what to feel.
all i know in his arms i will be able to deal.
but what he the rumor is true and he'd rather hold
him, what will i do with a golden heart turned to mold.
unable to ask him afraid of what might be true.
what do i do when i ask truth? what will i be left with
will it be me he really wants to hold or will it be another man

Rumours can do so much damage.
If you let them.
They can put doubt in your mind and can gnaw away at you.
If you have no other doubts (apart from what you've heard from others )
I would try to get on with your life and the man you love and put it all behind you.
