I'm running...
away
like an outlaw
wanted by everyone
but for all the wrong reasons
my face recognized by many
but no one knowing what I'm like on the inside
like a slave
chained by conformity
running toward freedom
which is my individuality
trying to escape a world
that binds to to what it thinks is normal
like a child
curious about whats out there beyond
beyond what I've been around all my life
what else is out there
my curiosity pushing me onward...
wandering,
running,
away

I like the way your words express a clear picture of the confusion you feel. Nice. |

Curosity is normal in life, but remember not everyone out there in the world is good and harm is always waiting around a corner. Remember also that we cannot ever run from our problems because they go with us, in our minds, wherever we run too. There is no escaping until we stop and take care of them and throw off that mantle of fear and/or regret. Great write.

Very well done. Like an outlaw, like a slave and ending like a child. Forsake the outlaw, slave and run like a child with their unquenchable curiosity and secret strength for nonconformance to the idiodic of modern madness. |
