Horrible Routine

From pain to tears; she had felt it all these past few years
It never seemed to matter what was going on; she always remained so numb and cold
Every night he came for her; she shut her mind off
It was just another miserable night; everything blurred and blended into one horrible memory
If only he would leave her alone; she would never be normal
She had been treated like this for almost three years now; it was almost like cruel routine
She felt so dirty and used; how could she get away from all of this pain
She went about her day pretending nothing had happened; denial got her through her life
If only she could tell someone; someone who could release her from her own misery
She kept it all tucked away; it was just a horrible routine
