Oscar

1.Oscar:

On April 1, 2005
Past the silver gates
Onto the clouds
Near loving God
With the other glowing angels
Under the Halo
Between the wings
Stands Oscar Allen

2. Standing There

Wishing you were here right now
Wondering why and how
Hoping the pain would just leave
Like the seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring
Eyes still misty after all the hurt
My heart no longer feels, it's black and burnt
As I sit in my room, I look up and see
The brightest light, almost blinding
My heart is renewed, loving and whole
My happiness is back, i have a joyful soul
Since the day you left, i haven't seen you, only air
But that day i realized, you've always been standing there.

Im sorry for your loss. We grieve and mourn for those we lost, but take comfort in seeing them again. My husbands mother just passed but she is closer than we realised.

This is a beautiful poem.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
