Just lying here beside you,I am bathed in blind devotion
Watching you sleep so soundly,my heart is full with sweet emotion
Reaching out to touch you,my hand stops short before your face
Instead I move a little closer,your body to mine,I embrace
Around your neck I move my hand,to play within your hair
I listen to your breathing,in this silence that we share
So near I am to your dreams, as I look upon your eyes
That I can taste your fantasies as you release your heated sighs
Unaware of my vigil,you do not know I lie awake
Caressing you with loving hands,watching every move you make
Outside the stars are shimmering,like the sparkle I always see
Whenever you hold me in your arms and cast your eyes on me
I'm tempted in the darkness to kiss your tenderness
Yet I am happy just to lie here and not disturb your rest
Candlelight is flickering,shadows dance upon the ceiling
Blanketed by your gorgeous scent,there could be no better feeling
Baby if you somehow know,that I am thinking of you now
Open up your pretty eyes and hear my solemn vow
I'm thankful for every ounce of love that you've ever blessed me with
And darling I could never dream, of being more complete than this
With faithful heart I promise you,I will never stray
As long as breath resides in me,I will always stay
You are my every heartbeat,without you I'd not live
And I would not be happy if to you I couldn't give
You are the smile that touches me and plays upon my mind
When I am lost and without sun,you're the warmth that I find
Baby in this whole wide world,there are many places I could roam
But to your arms,I'll always return,you are my eternal home
I kiss your lips so gently and turn over onto my side
And as we spoon together,I whisper"I love you babe,goodnight"
