Would fight to make me yours
Thought seems so far away
You’re walking out the door
Thought that you could feel this thing
Alive between us two
Thought that you cherished me
The way I cherish you
Thought that you remembered
The sweetness of my kiss
Thought that you adored this
The sunshine of my bliss
Thought that you really loved
The way you leave me breathless
Thought that you must have known
Night without you restless
Thought that you would understand
Why my sleep is fleeting
Thought that you would have to see
The vision of our meeting
Thought that youd memorized
Our whispers in the dark
Thought that maybe you could feel
The beating of my heart
Thought that youd imagine
Your hands as they caressed me
Thought that youd take pleasure in
How slowly you undressed me
Thought that surely youd recall
My warmth when you held me
Thought that this was serious
At least that’s what you tell me
Thought about a lot of things
Sitting here alone
Thought that you were the one
Guess that I thought wrong
