Fatal Assault

Contributed by TheSpaceBetween on Friday, 24th March 2006 @ 07:42:17 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Look at her, so smart and perfect
You could try to break her but it's not even worth it

She won't give it up, she won't let you in
The most you will be, is with her troubled friend

For some reason tho, this appeals to you
So you follow her around and watch her every move

Then the day comes when she lets her guard down
You weasel your way in and win your crown

One weak moment, that's all it takes
Sweet victory is yours as you watch her break

She has no idea, she doesn't see it coming
You get what you want and leave her with nothing

Her flawless world and her dreams all shattered
The addiction grows, it's all that matters

Slowly she dies with each new day
Darkness all around, her mind starts to decay

All that she was and what she could be
Now just dust and a faint memory

Soon they will bury her and it's all your fault
Then you'll move on to the next... another fatal
assault.
