You bury your emotions deep inside,
And lace them into words and rhymes,
But no one understands your game,
Is it them or you who hold the blame?
You just don't realize it do you?
The pain that people hide from you?
I don't know what's behind closed doors,
So don't you expect to know their cores,
I don't know you and you don't know me,
Can we agree to disagree?
Hiding behind our poetry,
Waiting for something to set us free,
Now I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry,
We built out friendship to the sky,
A house of cards, unsteadily built,
If it were to collapse...
Would you feel any guilt?

This is really an awesome poem beautifully brought together.Especially in the game called life, it is so difficult to know one's true self from the masks they wear. Thank you for sharing this. |
