A True Father
Dedicated to Tommy Underwood
I had a dream that I wasn't concieved by you.
That your blood did not price my veins or
Enrage it's horrors within my body.
I had dream that I never knew the heartbreak
& tears you bestowed upon my life
or the trap you caused me to be in.
I had a dream my father was my father.
That I was concieved from him & never knew
lifes hardships.
I had a dream I wasn't thrown down by my past
of an evil childhood.
I had dream that you didn't even exist,
but the fact remains
as an ugly monster slapping me in the face
with its harsh trial of reality.
Pulling me back to the fact of your blood,
of my origin.
Reminding me constantly that you had me under your control
power & greed.
A new prison begs to take from,
but I won't allow it.
A prison of my origin & our blood.
How I'm shot every time I look at you & see myself in you
somehow.
How I long to be my fathers daughter.
For you are not my father dad pa
or even sir.
Your nothing, but a convict raper molester &
the dirt under my finger nails.
My hearts desire longs in the part of finding me & who I am,
but you are not part of who I am.
After all you had no part in me becoming
the jewel in the rough.
Or the polished gold crown.
You were never there to guide me protect me.
Rescue me answer me know the things I liked.
In fact I had to be protected from you.
After all you are nothing to me, but half of my creation.
For all that it's worth I am my father's daughter
& since you are not my father.
I'm not your daughter.
