Will It Be

Like a gravedigger digs his own grave,
love is pushing me away,
like a soldier marching brave,
inevitably the same love begs to stay.
The sun rises brightly beneath the clouds,
hidden the truth is of love's shroud,
beneath the earth love bleeds in its molten core
like the sharp wind cuts your soul on a sunset shore.
Dowsy in hopes of dreams never coming true,
constructing thoughts of that it's through,
late nights in bed thoughts angrily scream
suffocating them slowly slipping into a dream.
Like a crevice a heart slowly cracks,
face up to reality - facing the facts,
it may be, it may not,
nothing can be done, just appreciate what you got.
Like a gravedigger digs his own grave,
love is pushing me away,
like a soldier marching brave,
inevitably the same love begs to stay.

I like this. It is more to me about the haunting drem of love's departure. I can relate to this in many ways. |
