Up on the wall

selfstruggles

In a state I've never known
Who knows if it's better
I just might start to smoke
Just so I can get the cancer
Maybe I will feel the same
There's no describing this
Forget the fact that I used to not be like this
A kiss will do nothing but dig me deeper
Into this engraven image of who I've become
Like it or not, I'll stay this way
Up on the wall for everyone to see
Up on the wall to receive your pity
She had it right when she said I need to leave
The last thing I'd want is to drag you down with me

This poem has everything except hope. It is good to feel down sometimes but not to stay there. This is a good write when speaking of self reflection. Just make sure you give yourself some where to go besides down. |
