FEEL YOUR FEELINGS

Topic: Lifepoems

(Feelings behind a mirror)

FEEL YOUR FEELINGS

Increase of lawlessness and the love
of many will cool off!
A prophecy being fulfilled, while many scoff!
Humans have feelings, are sensitive, kind,
and loving...........
But we're not dumb, hurt often, learn to
shut our feelings down, at our bidding.

Get in touch with your feelings
Even after a lifetime of years.
Afraid to feel, too many fears?
Unknown future, scary yesterdays!
Borrowed uneasiness?
Uncertain tomorrows...........
Will they bring happiness, or
intense sorrows?

Many feel no feelings today
Suppress, they all "fly-away"
At last, peaceful setting,
Finally safe!
Feelings begin to emerge.
Little by little, day by day.
Powerful and unknown?
Like "Brand-New," clearer view.

(Large emotions)

Hurtful experiences and dreaded
emotions surface,
Like dross a top simmering silver....
Don't turn down the fire!
Skim the dross from your hurting heart.
Rid your mind of the "Spider Web,"
that entraps negative thoughts.
Echoes from your past until you are dead!

Warm, cold, anger, joy.......
Testing for control, unafraid?
Courage only with a prayer,
another for faith.
Churning, unlikely fate!
In dangerous waters, they soon relate!

(Feelings in the heart of a mother)

It's all right to acknowledge your grief!
It's all right to feel love in your heart again~!
It's all right to feel, go ahead and cry!
It's all right, it's all right!
Practice, you won't die!

"
(Old feelings)

Still so many left deep in the past.
Be patient with yourself if
you can't go "There."
Still your mind.
Please go slowly, not so fast!
Someday, you may recall.........
But only, when you can handle them all!

Created especially
for those who
are afraid
to feel.

Matthew 24:12

*******************************************

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by each experience in which you really stop to look
fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I have lived through this horror. I can take
the next thing that comes along.” You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

~Eleanor Roosevelt~
(1884-1962) American columnist, lecturer and humanitarian.

Well, Bsis, this is the best of your very best! This touched the very core of my being at this time. I do shut away feelings because I can't handle the pain. I hope this helps others to recognize that to some extent we all do this. Blessings to you, my sister, and thank you for always being there when needed. What would I do without you? I don't even want to imagine.

Much love always,
Rita

This poem is cool. I like the truthfulness in it and yet it is not over dramatic. Simplicity is always good.

The words and pics which all of us can say.........YES!!!
Why is it when we feel ..we hide? Is it we think I cant do it, because it will hurt?! I often ponder......and then a feeling come across us, and we think .YES.we can do..but freeze?! I loved this write, and I am one who hides all so well. But with writing, its more expressed.
Thank you

Hugs
Brew~

Another lesson to be learned by you, you are such wonderful help to souls, you teach well in poetry. Thank you, beautifully written. Sometimes what we avoid, could be just what we need to be doing. Great wisdom here my friend.

The best you ever wrote ConSue!.
Brilliant Phsychology. You could also work as a therapist. and effect healings in no timje.
Fantastic!

I have a similar work dealing with Anger,
a well-meaning spiritually immature soul equated it with hatred. Mamma Mia.!
