Hopeless

Contributed by Nothingness on Wednesday, 22nd March 2006 @ 10:06:21 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

My heart is no more as it use to be, it is a heart turned cold
My heart once was gentle and kind listening to all I was told
That day is gone I had to harden my heart to and learn not to care
I don’t care about the pain that once was I accept that life is unfair
I still will go on living each day just not the same child I use to be
The only one that I held dear left with out saying one last word to me
But that is done and over with I didn’t need my heart anyway
The sky is always dark rain always falls, this is now a normal day
Do not bother trying to fix me, I am broken and it does not matter
If some how my heart is fixed… one blow and again it will shatter
Don’t worry about me I will be just fine I can survive on my own
I only wanted to be alive for him anyway… he left, now I am all alone

I hope your heart can heal, as you probably already know: writing helps. So keep writing, its your thread and needle...and maybe super glue...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
