They really love you

Contributed by glassicallyunsuperficial on Wednesday, 22nd March 2006 @ 08:22:40 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

overhead a clear blue sky
as violets them blue
down below she tearfully asked why
stuck in a slough of despond
day by day
keeping up with the masquerade
somewhere inside
giving up to compose threnodys and elergys
preparing for the worst

all that yen, all she wanted
was to efface the recess of rejection
but already reclined to the indignity
so much suspicion as a changeling
all that assailing
with that guttural voice
their exclaimations of jaundiced opinions of her
all illusions
but.

if we annihilate those stringencies
we obliterate the expectations for pinnacles
we get
something small

an ampersand of love.
the antithesis of hurting.
a tapestry of
hope faith trust care
love.

my dear, there is no need for that dour face
they really love you.

think sometimes we feel that we deserve to be loved better, when in reality they love as only they can and its never enough. the love you seek from your parents will come through no one else, how can anyones love replace what you desire most and never had on your own terms
regards
maggie

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
