If The Demons Win

Contributed by whiteleo1984 on Wednesday, 22nd March 2006 @ 02:54:11 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Throwing myself into the sea of loneliness
who cares if I fall down?
will you be there to stop me?
or will you walk away never to look back?
you have those demons you fight
and I have mine
but if I let them win, I will lose my life
I'll never prove to the world
that I won the war, I'll just be the same
if I let the demons win.

If I let the demons win, what's next for me?
I've been down that road before
and I lost my way
I was caught in that sea of loneliness for years
I cried all those sorrowful tears
and no one was there to wipe them away
that would be my life, if the demons win.

if the demons win, why should I continue to live?
if they triumph I'll have nothing left to give
I'll be the empty shell that people always told me I was
I'll be nothing, and I don't want to be that way
I was called hearltess, black-hearted
no feelings, no emotions
hated by all, no love to give
that would be me again, if the demons win.

Should I be that way now?
should I follow that path?
is that the person you want me to be?
or would you rather see me triumph and win the war?
what do you want from me?
what is it that you seek?
do you want to be loved?
do you want a friend?
what do you need to live?
what is it that haunts your dreams?
what is it that gives you fear?
is it me, or the people that are near?
well, you say no one can really care for you
well, I'd hate to say this
cause you heard it before
there is one out there that of you will adore
he has the heart of gold and time spent searching the skies
looking for you and finding that sparkle in your eyes
is that person me?
or someone else?
only God knows that answer and no one else
but this I will say
and I will let you go your way
if you give up now, you'll never know the truth
if you give in now, you'll never feel the truth
you'll be empty inside just like me
if you let the demons win.

Words from your heart to the heart of a friend.

Brilliant read and write,
I am sure you and your friend will be able to fight the demons TOGETHER.

you show great empathy and understanding.

your definetely NOT empty inside.

look at your glass as half full NOT
half empty.

you sound like a survivor to me and I know with Love and trust you will both get through this.

god Bless you.

Dougnut :-)
