walking down the street
a teenager
buried is a sweatshirt
three sizes too big
face obscured by the
hood
what people see
when they look
at me.
or maybe
a pitiful-looking
wannabe-goth
kid.
what they don't see
is me.
the Pain
the Sorrow
the Confusion
the Feeling.
the Essence of
who i really
Am.
they only see
the outer shell
and they judge
me.
Me, just
a frightened and
tired girl
trying to withstand
the weight
of the
world.

you know this is very true.
Sometimes people judges us just for the shell, and not for the inside.
They don't even bother to really go on and try to meet us. And then they would realize that we all are humans, and not make up, or tennis shoes. |

i agree witht he first comment. if people were to look closer they would find that we are all the same
we all have somewhat of the same feelings and judgement through looks isn't fair nor ethical.
you did a very good job on this poem.
thank you for the insightful read.
keep up the good work.
