A GIRL, LOST OF INTEGRITY

Contributed by Adelle on Tuesday, 21st March 2006 @ 03:36:30 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

A girl of integrity
I gave it up, I gave away my dignity
a girl of courage
through the broken window, I through it out
a girl of kindness,
I allowed to come out of my mouth such awfulness
a girl of virtue
I wasted it, directly in heavens view
once cared so much
now those feelings are lost
once a girl of radiance
now a shadow of gray
I gave away all I lived for
because I was hurt over and over
but this is the fact of life
its meant for such toil and strife
we are tested to see
if to God we are truly dedicated to he-
it doesn’t matter where you are now,
it matters where you’ll be tomorrow
if the sky would fall
would your faith still stand tall?
If the birds would stop singing
and the sun would stop shining,
would your God be good enough
to bring music and joy of love?
I gave up my dignity
I gave up on my loyalty
I gave away my honor
and I let go of my father
the test, I failed
my trials prevailed
what a sad world I now live in
a heart cold, and dark I have within
happiness is on the other side of the world
I can see it through my broken glasses of hurt
never will bitterness bring
such happiness and sweet music to sing-
it will only destroy all goodness
and kill the faith I might have possessed
oh, if I could take it back I would
if I could rewind time before my hurt
but I cant-
I chose hell to take my hand
but alive I still am-
breathing, moving, a pulse I still have
a choice I still can make
my integrity and virtue I can regain
though I failed the test of the trial of my faith
I can get it back and find my strength
and live the way of integrity and love
with dignity and virtue, my wounds can be patched up
and with faith and courage
I learn from my fallen mistakes
and with a voice of humility
I ask all to learn from me-
don’t give away
your possession of goodness and faith
because the hardness of life
fell upon you and gave you grief and strife
the sky is still there-
the sun still shines everywhere-
the birds still sing
the message is clear, WITH YOU God’s still walking
take his hand
and rejoice with this great land
of the every day miracles
that are meant for joy, peace and solace
the miracle of life
exists through the sun shine
every day is anew
and the same can be you-
start over
and reclaim who you are-

shanna

Sad, but well written.
Keep it up :)
