FROM THE GRAVE

Contributed by lindy70 on Monday, 20th March 2006 @ 02:40:50 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Does he know, what he has done?
The man that did this hit and run.
Here am I buried deep down,
All because of some drunken clown.
I can see him now, standing there,
A drink in his hand, he doesn't care.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year,
Come on mate, have another beer.
Left behind are my children and wife,
With just pictures and memories of my life.
I didn't ask to die, I was still young,
Life was geat; it had only just begun.
I'm standing here now, next to him,
Watching him laughing, drinking gin.
I scream and shout, but he can't hear,
If I could cry, I'd cry a tear.
Please will you listen, listen to me,
What you're doing is wrong. Can't you see?
Okay celebrate, great, have a jar,
But please, please, don't take the car.

Yeah this would be great to spearhead a drink drive campaign.

I know it's not a laughing matter but i had to have a chuckle that the first person to comment on this works user name is...

freespirit!
