You Are My Strength

Contributed by bethwood on Monday, 20th March 2006 @ 12:53:55 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I sat thinking for hours
About how to explain
That you are the padlock
Securing my chain.

You are the lifeline
The roots to my tree
You are the backbone
That's strengthenning me.

You give me such courage
While holding my hand
When life isn't going
Quite like I had planned.

Thanks for supporting
And being my guide
For drying my teardrops
Every time I have cried.

Beth Wood
March'06.

Very nice Beth! I find your simple words and honesty refreshing. I hope I can be to my kids what your parents are for you.

Hugs
Jennifer

And you, beth, are your boy's Strength! Keep on doin' what you're doin', 'cause I'm reading a story book life with a very happy ending. Good work; I hope you shared this love and honesty with your dad before he passed. On to the rest of your poems!
