Smiles fall like raindrops on the
cloudiest day
tears dry the fastest
when the sunset fades
Bear the cross and take one for the team
I thrive on the bad dreams and the bad things
Waking to the stroke of fine
I walk around empty inside
sometimes wondering about you
simmering anger waiting to consume
Those who wait will only wait longer
but not for character and it won't make you stronger
That anger breeds temptation
and I itch to get my hands on you
Venomous souls take hold of me
wondering just how long it will be
but as the raindrops fall
I'm stuck inside
that's your only saving grace but I'd still
run and hide.
