Farm boys give
And farm boys take
But what kind of men
Do farm boys make?
They get their kicks
By plowing dirt
Laughin' drinkin'
They just flirt
They trick you
Into thinkin' they care
Of course you fall
Cuz farm ethnics are rare
They play in field
And play with your heart
Never try to break a farm boy
Not if you're smart
You'll only be confused
When he calls you Dear
Its not you he refers to
Its his precious JOHN DEERE
Of course not all
Can be written into this lot
For some are TRUE
But most are NOT
How do you compete
With tractors and farm toys?
Look for farm MEN
Stop playing with BOYS!!!!

I thought this poem was an interesting, funny read!
I like the quickness of the stanzas...perhaps indicating the quick love a farmboy brings? the length of the relationship?
I do, though, think that if you ever do revise this poem....perhaps the last stanza. The last 2 lines, i think, break from the rythm of the poem as a whole and seemed a bit forced. But that's just my two cents.
It was great and I hope to read more of your humorous poems!! |
