The Irony of Living

Isn't it ironic how people waste time,
live a life fighting and then die,
how everything that matters is so absurd,
that the very thought of logic makes it all burn!
Isn't it ironic how a suicidal says:"Goodbye cruel world..."
when we had created this with every single action and word,
we pursue wars in the name of freedom,
('war' acronym for 'We Are Right')
just to create a bigger prison-kingdom.
Isn't it ironic how we control others' lives,
while we can't even control ourselves,
we live in hope knowing it won't last,
while pain and dissapointment makes up the cast.
Isn't it ironic how we lead temporary lives,
dream on hopeless futures and regretting the past,
only see the blackest night ignoring the light,
born onto death an unevitable last.
Isn't it ironic how we consider behaviour a crime,
preprogrammed things of what's wrong and what's right,
a perception of a man made to be,
yet a man has no description because it isn't unique.
Isn't it ironic how we fall in love,
picking red roses to cover up the past,
wishing, sacrificing,
when we know it can't last.
Isn't it ironic how we get what we need,
but what we desire most at the time,
excercising the *right* to be free,
when we are bound to time and our lives are not ours to have,
we stumple forth, reminiscent of things past.
Isn't it ironic how only the strong survive,
how narrow the line between pessimism and realism is,
how easily our hearts can be broken,
thrown into the deep to drown,
just as easy as we are to believe,
that life-after-death exists
and that there is a point to be made through it alll.
Isn't it ironic how easy it is to give up,
but standing up is always moving a mountain,
we are sipping up all the essence of life's fountain,
the reason behind life remains a mystery
and death is the end of the world as we had known it.
