And Baby, Oh Baby

Cradling your motionless body
Lips longing for a breath
Only 8 months into being
But now meeting your maker,
Shaking hands with death.
And baby, Oh baby
Well that’s what you were
Truly an angel while here
Our angel left this earth
Now she drifts above the sky
With those soft ashen wings
She learned to fly
And baby, Oh baby
With me you weren’t meant to stay
But baby, my baby
I’ll hold you again one day.
