Awaiting That Moment

After all that I have been through it is the one thing that keeps me strong.
Although I don’t remember every moment,
I believe it is there.
I need the thought and the reminder that it once was.
That is what keeps me alive.
I try not to forget,
But when I do,
Nothing feels as true.
Until I find that missing piece to the puzzle,
I need to remember.
I need to have hope that one day it will return again.
I will be complete,
The puzzle will be solved,
But until then I find myself hopeless and wondering in my sorrow for the moment that never really was.
