Freedom...Here I Stand

Contributed by whiteleo1984 on Saturday, 18th March 2006 @ 03:32:11 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

I've had a bad past
this everyone can see
and I knew I would get thru it
someday I would be the real me
That day took forever to come
but it's here
I spent countless hours
reminiscing on the things of the past
but I didn't accomplish nothing
I just made it worse
so here I stand today
with joy in my life
I know now that I will make it
and life will be back to normal
the death is gone
the addictions are gone
and the poison is flushed
so here I stand, back to my old self
back to the gentle soul that I thought was lost
Here I stand
I'm finally free from that godless being that engulfed my soul
and I'm here shouting praises that he's gone
Here I stand
free at last, free at last
and if that demon comes back
he won't make me fall again
cause today I'm free
and tomorrow I will be free
and I will be free forever
Here I stand
I can't do nothing else
but be happy in my freedom
and this I must say
Thank You...
