Never-ending Search

Never-ending Search

I wrote this trying to symbolise the need for me to lose this depression before I indeed rot away…

Diving into the utter silence of my head,
Swimming through memories, I tried to forget,
I've searched and searched for a time that I wasn't dead,
A time that I was alive and without any regret.

Breathe in…

I filter through my childhood searching for the prize,
Of when I was with someone that I had respected,
All the roads I travelled down all lead to false happiness and lies,
All of the memories that went by me showed me being rejected.

Release…

I wake up from my meditation again with no finds,
Maybe I will find it tomorrow maybe, maybe not,
Anyway, it's about time to go to where the sun shines,
And get out of the shadows before I rot.

-Jason
