Thanks mommy
You have been there when my father wasn't
He made promises that you fulfilled
He gave me a dollar, you gave me 9 more to make a perfect 10
He made me cry, you wiped my tears and made me smile
I wake up on Christmas morning to find gifts in his name in your writing
I wake up to get ready to spend the day with my father but only to get a call to say we will go tomorrow
He made me fall you would pick me up
I'm older now mommy and it's all clear now
He is there he is just absent today

This is so heartfelt but you are a strong person..and it's admirable that you wrote this poem and let you Mom know how you feel..
Hugs
