A Shadow Cast

Contributed by Willofree on Thursday, 16th March 2006 @ 08:03:19 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

It's beam and breadth of log
Casts a shadow long
That on the ground will fall
And begin His relationship with all

Never will humanity find
A greater moment in time
May we never walk too far or fast
From the path the shadow casts

For His blood has been shed
Although He rises from the dead
The stain on the cross,
His commitment to our loss

A convenant to forgive our sins
So that we might enter in
His love and grace we win
Which continues to conquer sin

And there lies His promise, again
Of love and devotion from Him
Which we signify with feasting and fasting
To celebrate, eternal life with Him everlasting

This is a very good write. In the first stanza it is hard to tell that you are talking about a relationship with God. Your poem as a whole is full of faith.
