Crimes of passion
They've never run so deep
My mind is lost beneath the embers
Stranded in the street
Of lies and deception
A river that ran so cold
How can i ever trust you?
Let alone have you hold
A heart that's soaked in gasoline
Just waiting for the flame
The match of which you hold
That causes all the pain
From all your lies and scandals
That you hid for so long
And i'm the fool that believed you
Hoping that i would hear that song
Just once more
Coming from those sweet lips
The ones that would knock me off my feet
With just one tiny kiss
From that man
With the deep brown eyes
Who always said he would love me
Until the day i die
From old age
Right there by his side
I thought he'd always be faithful
I'd never have to cry
And worry bout him cheating
For i really do believe
With every tear that rolls down my cheek
I will never leave
That boy with the dark brown hair
Who holds my heart so near
And everyday together
I'll be thankful i'm still standin here
By his side
Holding his left hand in mine
Exchanging rings at the alter
With nothing left but time
